A CHEF who is on furlough from his job has launched a YouTube channel to share his skills and encourage people to eat more healthily.
Chris O’Neill, 42, from Lower Wick, said: “Food motivates me and so does sharing my knowledge.
“I started off to educate the children whilst they were off school but now they are back at school it’s all about filling my time.
“My job entails a lot of presentations and teaching colleagues all things fresh so they can go out and sell with as much knowledge as possible.
“My videos are a mix of using produce in different ways like avocado brownie and celeriac as a steak to favourite dishes like Bakewell tart, using fresh cherries when in season.”

Mr O’Neill is a development chef for Fresh Direct, which is a national supplier of fresh produce to the catering trade.
He has been a trained chef for 20 years.
He added: “We should all be trying to support British farmers during these unprecedented times.
“This means eating more produce that is in season.
“The supermarkets have created a society that expects everything whenever we want it, but we should go back to basics and cook within the seasons.
“I will be doing weekly videos and am open to any ideas people may have - or anything people may need help with.”
His YouTube channel, set up just a couple of weeks ago, has a growing audience of subscribers who can tune in to learn how to cook and prepare a variety of sweet and savoury treats, as well as gourmet sauces.
