A KINDHEARTED girl from Malvern has surpassed all expectations, raising nearly £3,000 for the NHS.
Seven year-old Maisie Gibson has been making ribbons celebrating the NHS, smashing her original target of £50.
Inspired by the story of Colonel Tom Moore, Maisie decided to make the ribbons to show her support with the help of her mum Charlotte and sisters Heidi and Felicity.
She was also inspired by her grandmother Heather, who works as a nurse at Malvern Community Hospital and has beaten coronavirus.

Charlotte said: "She made a few rainbow ribbons and I put them on social media.
"She wanted to raise some money for people like her grandmother who works for the NHS and has also recently recovered from coronavirus.
"She set herself a £50 target and smashed it.
"As soon as we set up Maisie’s Mission, it all went a bit crazy.
"Maisie has had ribbons, envelopes, pins, and even stamps donated. Waitrose even sent some sweets as a well done.
"We are now up to 800 badges and 120 meters of ribbon.
"We are all so proud of her and amazed by the generosity of the Worcestershire community."

Originally intending to raise £50, the family has been stunned by the outpouring of support from the community in and around Malvern over the last three weeks, with more than £2,800 raised so far.
Jason Levy from Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Charity said: “The charity has been overwhelmed by the incredible support from the local community.
"Maisie and her family are truly inspiring and their passion and generosity has had a tremendous positive impact on the morale of our staff and patients across all the Trust hospitals.”
