A CAR has been seized and the driver arrested after he was found to be under the influence of cocaine in Malvern.

The car was chased before the driver got out and tried to escape.

Checks were run by officers who found he was both under the influence of cocaine and disqualified from driving.

West Mercia Police's Local Policing Priority Team on Twitter said: "BMW sighted in Malvern and made off. Driver decamped and ran from the car.

"He was quickly detained and checks found him to be a disqualified driver and under the influence of cocaine.

"One arrested, vehicle seized. He must just really enjoy being banned from driving."
