REOPENING public toilets in Upton will provide a major boost to tourism.
That is the opinion of Upton Tourism and Trade Association chairman Peter Webb, who believes much of the coach trade lost over the past year will now return.
"It's good to see that the will of the people still has an effect on politicians," he said. "Coaches had stopped coming here since the toilets were closed.
"Each coach means 40 people coming to spend money in the town, which is the sort of thing we cannot afford to lose."
The Lower High Street toilets will be reopen within four weeks following a unanimous vote by Malvern Hills District Council's executive committee last week.
