THE Upton-based Mercia Inshore Search and Rescue (MISAR) crew was called out on Friday to rescue a dog trapped on the banks of the River Severn.
The call came from Queenhill, where the river is crossed by the M50 motorway, at about 1.30pm.
The crew, based at the town's marina, rescued the dog, thought to be a golden retriever, and reunited it with its owner.
The crew was called out the following day to Stourport to rescue a cygnet trapped in a sluice. Another call came at about 1.30am on Tuesday, when a man threatened to jump off a bridge in Evesham.
However, police restrained him and the MISAR crew was not needed.
