100 years ago YESTERDAY afternoon a lad named James Hunt, residing in Newtown Road, met with a rather severe accident.
It appears that he was with some companions, when a brickbat thrown by one of them struck him severely on the head causing a large cut.
The wound bled freely and he was conveyed to the hospital where he was duly attended to. The would was not very serious but the flow of blood caused it to look more dangerous than it really was. The Wyven Trust steering committee, which is preparing plans to finance and staff the college from September 1, will hold a public meeting at the college on June 24. By then, definite proposals for the trust will be finalised and circulated.
