AT the Farmers Arms Quiz on Sunday, May 27, for the fourth time running, the Flat Caps and Jellied Eels won yet again by three points, although the visiting team from London called London Pride did give them some competition. Well done to both teams.
On Thursday, June 7, June Smith and Weston will be entertaining us with a mixture of blues, and rock music. On Friday, June 1, we have Circle Dancing with Olivia and Richard at 8pm in the Memorial Hall.
The Monkey Island Dipper's Rowing Team have trained hard over the last three weeks, with the final training session this Saturday (June 2) at Upton Rowing Club. We wish Tony, Simon, Alison and Hamish, not forgetting their coach and cox Roger all the best. For those of you who would like to go along and support our Winning Team, the Upton Regatta takes place on Sunday, June 3 at 11am.
Christ Church Services are: Sunday, June 3 9.30am Holy Communion (Celebrant - The Reverend Christine Mandell). Wednesday, June 6 - Morning Prayer at 9.30am.
The Village Hall Activities commencing June 2 are: Saturday, June 2 Whist drive 8pm. Monday, June 4 painting and drawing 7pm-9pm. Tuesday, June 5 parents and toddlers 9.45am, Bridge 2pm, Brownies 5.30pm. Wednesday, June 6 creative kids 10am and 3.45pm, Pilates 6.45pm.
