A GROUP of Malvern craft-enthusiasts are looking for like-minded people to join their new club.
The Malvern Papercrafters holds its first meeting at St Mary's Church Hall, in Sherrards Green, from 7pm to 9pm on Thursday, May 31.
Spokesman Jo Davies said the idea was to have an informal group, meeting monthly to chat and craft together.
"The group is open to all cardmakers, scrapbookers and any other paper crafters, and also anyone who'd be interested in starting crafting or who'd just like to find out more," she said.
"There isn't really anything like this in the area but it's a fast-growing trend and there are an awful lot of people out there who do it."
Miss Davies' specialty is scrapbooking, but she said all papercrafting could be a very creative and rewarding experience.
"Scrapbooking lets you document things that have happened with lots of detail, like an embellished photo-album," she said.
"With cardmaking, you will never need to buy a greetings card again, and people tend to treasure hand-made cards whereas purchased ones get thrown away after a couple of weeks."
Miss Davies said the first meeting would be a chance for people to discuss how the group would work, and what people wanted from it.
A charge of £1.50 will be made to cover hall hire and refreshments. For more information call Jo on 01684 891422 (daytime) or Katy on 01684 899456 (evening).
