PLANS to create nine flats and two town houses on the Worcester Road, Malvern Link, will be discussed at a meeting on Wednesday (May 23).
Proposals submitted to the district council concern 213 and 215 Worcester Road. They include converting the existing Edwardian buildings into three flats and two town houses, and creating six new flats on land at the rear of the site. Access would be from Redland Road.
The application is a resubmission of an earlier refused application for conversion of the buildings and seven new town houses to the rear.
Planning officers recommend that the new proposals be refused, as they would harm the existing character of the area. The plan will be discussed at a meeting of the southern area development control committee, at Priory Lodge Hall, Malvern, on Wednesday, May 23.
