MALVERN band Strange Machine will perform tonight (Friday), as part of a new venture in the town.

The four-piece band will fill the top rooms of Malvern Youth Centre with music, from 7pm.

It will perform as part of a new monthly event at the centre, on Albert Road North, organised by Malvern Fringe.

Organisers hope to attract bands, performers, poets and visual artists to the events, which will run on a Friday night, around the middle of each month.

Fringe spokesman Malcolm Victory, said: "We're aiming to provide a variety of arts evenings for adults. This is the second event we've held, and they've both been music ones so far, but we'd very much like to include all sorts of other local performers.

"The venue is smaller than the main stage at the Youth Centre, so the atmosphere should be good, and Strange Machine should pull in a good crowd."

Admission to the event, which runs until 11pm, is £3 on the door, and for over 18s only.

Anyone interested in performing, can email info@malvernfringe.co.uk, or call Malcolm Victory, on 01684 575156.
