REGARDING Sarah Rouse's letter (August 21) about the "threat" to weekly black back collections, may I make a helpful suggestion.
Why can't the Phil Grove and Melanie Baker double act draw this whole saga to a conclusion by making a joint unequivocal statement one way or the other – is the weekly collection under threat or not.
Personally, I hope that Melanie prevails as it may be quaint and old-fashioned but following on from some of the previous record of this administration and the previous one on Malvern Hills District Council it could restore human faith in what was a firm manifesto commitment.
