MUAA members fished for the Baker Cup recently, traditionally known rather unkindly as the Mugs Cup', as it offers members who haven't won a trophy during the season a chance to win one.
A flooded river Severn meant that the contest was switched to the pool at Mathon. Competitors found the pool in good condition, with the exceptional mild weather tempting carp to feed.
Chris Loveridge drew peg 20 and fished a waggler to take five carp, which tipped the scales at 14-14-0, to take the contest.
Making a rare appearance on the bank was Colin Shaw who dusted down his tackle to land three carp from peg 18, for a total of 12-12-0 and second place.
Chris had already bagged a trophy earlier in the season so the Baker Cup was Colin's.
