BETWEEN autumn 1943 and early 1944, five large American field hospitals were built around Malvern to deal with casualties from the upcoming invasion of Europe.
The hospitals were the subject of the recent book Return to Duty by Fran and Martin Collins, who recently talked to Malvern Civic Society about their researches.
Do you have any memories of these hospitals, or about anything else connected with the war? if so, please contact Robert Hale at rh@worcesternews.co.uk.
