KATE Forrester, who now lives in Lower Howsell Road, Malvern, was one of those who attended Ledbury's fantastically successful ox roast at the start of the month - and the original.
She recalls: "60 years ago my uncle, Jack Parry, was the chairman of the ox roast committee and as children we were thrilled to be present.
"We were there again this year, four nieces and a nephew, one had travelled from New Zealand and another from South Africa.
"We spent the day with the same friends as in 1953 and at supper the superb crackers, deemed too beautiful to pull all those years ago, were on display along with those specially commissioned by Richard Beard for the jubilee celebrations. We still haven't seen the contents of either set!"
Another souvenir which is still in the family is the committee membership card (pictured).
