AS a resident bordering the South Worcestershire Development Plan (SWDP) 13/4 site at Rothwell Road/Hanley Road in Malvern Wells, I am alarmed, again.
This field, within the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, has been included in the SWDP for a 35 house development, despite strong local opposition.
Landseer Homes and Properties and the Abbey College have submitted an outline planning application for not 35 but 45 houses with a decision target date of April 16, which is well before the finalisation of the SWDP at the end of 2013.
If they are turned down at a local level, they will surely appeal.
Have we no protection?
The chairman of the Malvern Hills District Council assured us that after the dramatic U-turn when councillors voted the SWDP back in, that with a local plan in place, we would be protected from developer-led building.
Have we been led up the garden path?
