A GLITZY charity dinner dance with some special celebrity guests will help raise money to bring children affected by the fallout of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster to Worcestershire.
The dance, which is to take place at The Bank House, in Bransford, on Friday, April 19 will be attended by renowned designer Laurence Llewelyn- Bowen and his wife Jackie and will be raising money for Malvern Chernobyl Children’s Lifeline.
Each year the charity brings a group of children from the town of David-Gorodock, in Belarus, to Malvern for a four-week “health-giving” holiday.
Guests at the fund-raiser will be able to dance the night away to jazz and swing music from Malvern Big Band, with Gary Rutter and a special guest turn from Mrs Llewelyn-Bowen on vocals.
Malvern musician Mikey Mann will also be performing while Mr Llewelyn-Bowen will preside over a fund-raising auction.
The event is for over-16s and smart dress is required.
Tickets cost £25 and are available by calling 01886 833551.
