REPAIRS to B roads and other minor routes seriously damaged as a result of the big freeze are vital, according to a rural business group.
The Midlands Country Land and Business Association (CLA) is warning drivers, especially those travelling in rural areas, to watch out for potholes in order to avoid a hefty repair bill.
CLA rural adviser Donna Tavernor said: “The cold weather forecast over the coming days will not only create more holes, it will move highways staff from repairs to gritting duties, so potholes will appear faster than they get fixed.
“The only way to avoid damaging your car is to be on the lookout, but you can also do your bit to help by reporting potholes directly to your local council, or via a website such as fixmy street.com.”
