WORCESTERSHIRE women are being urged to make a stand against cancer by entering this year’s Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life.
Women and girls of all ages, shapes and sizes are needed to join together as a formidable army and take on cancer by taking part in the event on Sunday, June 16.
This year’s event has a new route, starting at Pitchcroft Racecourse, around the Hive and finishing in Angel Place Last year, 3,236 women took part in Race for Life in Worcester and raised £180,790.
This year, organisers need 4,000 women and girls to stride out to help raise £209,337 for vital research.
Money raised through Race for Life allows Cancer Research UK’s doctors, nurses and scientists to advance research.
