IT would appear that a good festive season was enjoyed by all the residents.
Some were lucky enough to spend time in warmer, drier climates.
The regular village activities continue as usual. Circle dancing takes place on the third Friday of the month from 8pm-10pm at the Memorial Hall. Contact Olivia and Richard Hunt for details of tonight’s dancing on 01531 633583.
The Walking Club have announced their 2013 walking schedule, and, weather permitting, will meet at the Memorial Hall at 9am on Thursday for Tardebigge. Phone Clive or Maggie on 01531 640617.
While Bernard Hill is away, Anne Abbotts and Allan Wood will be responsible for the Film Society which meet every third Tuesday evening of the month at 7.45pm at the Memorial Hall. The next film screening will be February 12. Details to follow.
At present there are no indications that The Farmers Arms will be reopening, and so the Memorial Hall Committee have come up with the idea of a Pop-Up-Pub night where residents can meet at the hall every second Friday evening at 9pm.
Bring along your own drink and glasses and a small donation for maintenance of the hall.
The next night will be Friday, January 25.
The Wellington Heath calligraphy group is starting up again on Wednesday. Last year their jubilee book, It’s Ma’am, as in ham, was a great success. Phone 01531 630257 for details.
The traffic lights on the Ledbury Road leading down towards Ledbury are set to be in place for a short time while utilities are put in place for a new house-build.
