AN app launched by Worcestershire County Council four months ago has reached 5,000 downloads.
The iPhone app gives people quick and easy access to council services from their mobile phones and comprises a range of council services reflecting the most visited areas of the website.
Councillor David Thain, cabinet member for transformation and change, said: “We are committed to providing excellent customer services for our residents and businesses and are always keen to make better use of technology.
“An increasing number of people are using iPhones and other smart phones and seems to be becoming the preferred method of contact. As this is a very cost-effective way of accessing services we want to encourage as many people as possible to download the apps.”
