A NEW display showcasing works from internationally celebrated artists has been unveiled at Croome Court.

The exhibition at the National Trust property near Upton features works inspired by and painted at Croome.

The exhibition is a culmination of several months of work by the team at Croome and the Croome Court fund-raising appeal committee, led by Lord Flight, which raises funds for the mansion house.

It is hoped the exhibition will raise tens of thousands of pounds towards the ongoing restoration of Croome.

“We have been absolutely astonished by the response we received from artists to our appeal for paintings that can be sold to raise funds,” said Phil Sharpe, Croome’s fundraising manager.

The exhibition is on display until March and will then move to Christie’s in London for the climax of a blind auction, which is being held throughout the exhibition.
