IT was smiles and wagging tails all round at Malvern’s famous Morgan car factory this week where councillors helped to raise more than £600 for Guide Dogs for the Blind.
The chairman of Malvern Hills District Council, Paul Tuthill, joined forces with civic dignitaries from across the county to make sure a special visit to the company raised plenty of cash.
Morgan Motors hosted the fund-raiser, providing a tour of the Pickersleigh Road factory and donating prizes for the raffle, which had a top prize of a trip around the hills in a Morgan.
Coun Tuthill said: “Guide Dogs for the Blind is my chosen charity.
“As a volunteer for the charity, at home we provide ‘bed and breakfast’ for the dogs who are in the last stage of their training, and the work they go on to do is invaluable.
“I’m thrilled there was such a good turnout at the event and that we were able to raise so much money for the charity.”
