AN acclaimed Worcestershire duo return to their home county.
Eleanor Percy and Irina Lyakhovsky will perform at the Huntingdon Hall in the latest offering from Worcester Concert Club’s 2012/13 programme.
The pair have been playing for 12 years and their appearance on Sunday, January 27, at 3pm marks the club’s continued work to provide a platform to support local artists.
They will perform works by Mozart, Brahms, Britten and Respighi.
Eleanor is originally from Malvern and was initially taught by the club’s late artistic director and adviser, Angela Richy.
She went on to study at Trinity College London, gaining a first class honours degree, and has gone on to receive many accolades, including the Langdon prize for classical concerto and the John Barbirolli prize for her piano trio and string quartet.
Irina has performed in concerts in England and throughout Europe.
Together they have made recordings of all the Mozart sonatas, as well as some by Brahms and Prokofiev, with Melodya Magazine describing them as “very polished and wonderful to listen to – a superb partnership”.
Tickets are £15. For information, call 01905 611427.
