A TALENTED quintet make their return to Worcestershire after a knockout festival performance during the summer.
The Alan Barnes Quintet come to Hanley Castle High School in an evening presented by the Friends of the Upton Jazz Festival following their appearance at the 2012 event in June.
On Friday, January 18, the audience can expect jazz standards, great compositions and some latin music from their acclaimed album Swinging the Samba on stage from 8pm.
Alan, who plays soprano, alto, tenor and baritone sax as well as clarinet, is joined by experienced and award-winning musicians in the shape of Art Themen on soprano and tenor sax, David Newton on piano, Steve Brown on drums, and Andy Cleyndert on double bass.
