MEMBERS of Kays Theatre Group are looking forward to taking to the stage and banishing those January blues with their 2013 pantomime Dick Whittington.
The production will be directed by Gail Metcalfe, who promised it will be a “fantastic” show.
This is Gail’s second pantomime direction. The first, Jack and the Beanstalk, received a NODA nomination for best amateur pantomime.
Dick Whittington tells the classic story of a young boy and his cat who travels to London to seek his fortune.
The production stars Ray Needham as Alderman Fitzwarren, Paul Robinson as King Rat, Kristian Wolseley- Charles as Salt and Sue Cassidy as First Mate Chips.
Paul said: “I have watched KTG pantos for years and I am thrilled to actually be in one. I can’t believe it.”
Founder member Pat Milton said: “It’s wonderful to see the talented cast coming together to bing it all to life once again.”
The cast will also be joined on stage once again by All England finalists and Britain’s Got Talent semifinalists Harlequin Stage School, under the direction of Paula Dymock. Dick Whittington runs at the Swan Theatre in Worcester between Friday and Sunday, January 18 and 27.
