WE were delighted to welcome more than 100 people to our annual Christingle Service, such a fitting way to start Christmas.
Standing in the side aisles the Church looked truly magical with the candles lit.
When the lights were dimmed, we heard the moving sound of Silent Night being sung in the glow of all our Christingle candles. The service was made extra special by Brian Willis playing our new organ so beautifully for us and members of Malvern Parish School choir joining us along with choir mistress Becky Allan and Mrs Burford.
We are delighted to have raised more than £100 for the Children’s Society to help children in much less fortunate circumstances and who, sadly, were not all warm and cosy with their family at Christmas.
As we all celebrated the coming of that special Christ Child we remembered those who need the special support the Children’s Society give.
Our grateful thanks to Chris Shepherd.
Our next 11am Holy Communion will be Sunday, January 20.
We are already planning our events for this year and the first one will be a book fair with home-made cakes and coffee on Saturday, February 9, from 10am to noon. Do please join us and we begin Lent with our Ashing Service at 7pm on Ash Wednesday, February 13.
