A COMPOSER from Malvern has been putting the finishing touches to his latest work before it is heard by a worldwide audience next week.
The music created by David Lowe will accompany the BBC’s international news channel BBC World News when it re-launches from the state-of-the-art, high definition studios in the corporation’s new central London headquarters.
To mark the occasion, David recorded a special version of his famous BBC News Music, with the BBC Concert Orchestra in London’s Abbey Road Studios.
Mr Lowe said: “It was an amazing thrill to work with a real orchestra and also incredibly exciting to be working at Abbey Road, in the very same studio where the Beatles made most of their famous songs. I even got to play the actual piano that they used on their recordings.”
His new mixes will be heard throughout the day on BBC World News, which reaches an estimated worldwide audience of more than 230 million people.
They will also appear on UK television around March.
