OLYMPIC torchbearer Alex Jordan was in Barnards Green, Malvern, to celebrate a 10th birthday relaunch of a Acorns Children’s Hospice local shop.
Acorns ambassador Alex, aged 17, held the torch which brought the Olympic flame to Worcestershire when he declared the refurbished store open.
Store manager Sue Clark said: “Everyone enjoyed the celebration.
“We have wonderful local support from customers, which helps to give our volunteers and staff the team spirit that has made the store so successful.”
Acorns area retail manager Val Hammond said: “This was a celebration of the new look and birthday of our most profitable store.
We’ve worked hard to provide a new frontage and floor, and to make the store more accessible.
It was rewarding to see how the town pulled together to support us."
