A DOUBLE CD of memories of Croome Park, before the Palladian country mansion just outside Upton was taken over by the National Trust, has been issued just in time for Christmas.
Produced by The Friends of Croome Park as part of an eight-year oral history project, the recordings include 90 minutes of interviews and talks covering everything from schools days at Croome to the estate and farming and the coming of the M5.
Sections are also devoted to horses and hunting, the Hare Krishna era of the home, and RAF Defford among others.
Costing £10, the CD is available from Eileen Clement on croome-oral-history@hotmail.
co.uk or by calling 01684 891815.
