SOME years ago Malvern District Council very much against the wishes of the residents decided to to introduce wheelie bins at great expense.
There again when has cost deterred unelected officers from making unpopular decisions.
Here we go again, I understand that the council chairman was banned from chairing a meeting on wheelie bins, of course he is an elected member of the council, but one whose views conflicted with the unelected council officers.
One wonders who runs the district council, officers who just seem to appear or elected representatives of the public.
Needless to say years ago, after a short life, it was agreed that wheelie bins were unsuitable in a location such as Malvern, they were completely impracticable and were therefore withdrawn.
I would suggest the advocates of wheelie bins take history into consideration and the feeling of the public, and reconsider before they throw away even further money. It is the public who pay for their mistakes so lets put an end to it!
Wheelie Bins are neither needed or wanted!
