A COUPLE who raise money to support a poor community in Uganda are holding a teddy bear raffle for the second year running.
Denise and Richard Ditchburn, from Upper Welland, have spent the last five years raising money after visiting the country for a friend’s wedding.
Last year, they raised about £60 for the cause by raffling a handmade bear.
Now a well-wisher, Pam Smith of Worcester, has donated two more topquality teddy bears for another raffle.
Tickets are available at Promenade Antiques, 41 Worcester Road, Malvern, until the draw date on Thursday, December 20.
Mr Ditchburn said: “All proceeds will be sent to Uganda to help a nursing project that deals with young people and their families dealing with the effects of the HIV virus and other health issues.”
