TICKETS for a feast of singing and dancing are now on sale.

Fans of the Cheltenham Folk Festival, which runs from February 8-10, can already snap up weekend and day tickets for its 17th instalment to banish the mid-winter blues and kickstart their festival year.

The opening concert already offers Fay Hield & The Hurricane Party, Belshazzar’s Feast and KAN headlining, while Saturday’s main show features Andy Cutting, fiddler Tom McConville and his band and Spiers & Boden headlining. Faustus, Jim Moray and Nic Jones play Sunday night’s closing concert.

Festival manager Jo Heatley said: “We’re really excited to be able to bring such a strong line-up of traditional music to Cheltenham for what promises to be another excellent festival.”

Others appearing over the course of the weekend are The Morris On Band, the Sheffield Folk Chorale, Hérétique, Gordon Tyrrall, Cupola, Gavin Davenport, Grace Notes, Tyde, Haddo and more.

The town hall will again be the hub of the festival, with a market place, children’s events and a real ale bar featuring along with concerts and music sessions.

Other venues, including the Playhouse Theatre and the Princess Hall at the Ladies’ College, will be used alongside those in the town centre.

Tickets for individual concerts will be made available from Monday. Go to cheltenhamfolkfestival.
