EIGHTEEN members gathered for a meeting full of news and plans.
Members were informed that annual subscriptions for the coming year will be £33 – which at £3 for each meeting seemed good value.
The next meeting is to have a party theme – so there will be a small charge of £2 to cover the costs.
Following that there is to be a carol service in Malvern Link URC Church on Thursday.
Plans were then made for the Christmas lunch which will be on January 17 or 24.
A report of the annual WI council was presented, stressing the liveliness and enthusiasm enjoyed over two days by more than 800 delegates. WI is alive and very well! After this busy business, David Withey was introduced to regale members with glimpses of the lighter side of life in local government.
The next meeting, at the Newtown Road Citadel, will be at 2.30pm on Thursday when the Christmas party will have the theme It’s Magic - inspired by Daz!
