STAFF at the Malvern Event Organiser in Church Walk, Malvern, have been taking part in Movember, the fund-raising drive that also raises awareness of prostate and testicular cancers.
Men are encouraged to start off the month clean shaven and to grow a full moustache in November whilst raising sponsorship for the charity, and the female staff at the business did not want to be left out. They have been selling fake moustaches, with 50p from each one going to the cause.
Sarah Grout, of the firm, said: “Additionally our very own cakewoman, Tracy Brook, the celebration cakemaker based in our shop, has crafted some Mo Balls – small spherical cake balls covered in fondant icing with a moustache on the top. 50p from these also is being donated to Movember.
“Our promotion has caused a lot of mirth and has been very well received locally and we sincerely hope that this goes some way to raising the all-important awareness of men’s health issues.”
