IN the recent wet weather conditions, may I ask for some consideration for pedestrians?
A large number of people, principally, but not exclusively, white van or 4x4 drivers, do not seem to realise the effect that a two-tonne vehicle hitting a flooded gutter has.
I’ve noticed this in both Malvern, where I work, and Callow End, where I live.
The water has to go somewhere, and I, a fairly fit 50 something, have nearly been knocked off my feet.
What would happen to a child or elderly person?
I do realise that these drivers are quite often too busy on their mobile phones to take much notice of the road conditions, but...
