I LIVE in West Malvern and the thought of wheelie bins here is awful.
They are going to be such an eyesore as many properties will have nowhere to put them and residents (young and old I suggest) will have difficulty in storing them out of sight.
Many properties in West Malvern have steps to negotiate and have no frontages to speak of.
I am not prepared to have the eyesore of a wheelie bin sitting at the front of my property and if introduced will be requesting the council to carry them up the steps to the road for emptying.
I may have neighbours who will leave them permanently out on the road and I will find this ugly and unacceptable.
May I add that the supporters of wheelie bins often cite the unacceptable sight of torn refuse bags on the side of roads. This could easily be solved if the correct procedure for putting bags out at the correct time for collection was enforced.
