THE residents of Malvern live in a hillside town and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
A large percentage of us have steep drives. Why are our councillors and the officers of Malvern Hills District Council going to desecrate the town with hideous wheelie bins?
I do wish they would remember that the Councillors are our elected representatives, and that the Officers are paid servants of the Community.
Malvern residents have made it quite clear they do not want wheelie bins, the trial a number of years ago was a total failure.
I know this is all about money from Central Government, but that money comes with strings.
However much the council states that weekly collections will be maintained, I would put money on the fact that weekly black sack collections disappear in the not too distant future.
Even if the decision has been finalised, I would ask the councillors to think seriously about this matter.
