A RENOWNED French- Canadian virtuoso pianist is coming to Malvern Theatres next week.
Marc-André Hamelin will perform a programme of works by Bach, Fauré, Ravel and Liszt in the latest concert of the fifth Yamaha International Piano series on Friday, November 23.
Recognised worldwide for the originality and technical brilliance of his performances of the classic repertoire, he will entertain the audience in the Forum Theatre from 7.30pm.
Having recorded some 50 CDs, he has also appeared as guest soloist with the New York Philharmonic, the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Montréal Symphony, the Boston Symphony, the Chicago Symphony, the London Philharmonic and the San Francisco Symphony among others.
He has even been presented with a rarely bestowed lifetime achievement prize by the German Record Critics’ Award.
