THE Remembrance Day service took place in the memorial hall at 10.45am and was led by lay-reader, Hilary Underwood.
The hall was tastefully decorated with vases of white and red flowers.
Terrific progress has been made on the Pool Piece project: this recreation area has been cleared of debris and is now ready for the next phase of improvement.
The next big event is the Jubilee Christmas Fayre on Saturday, November 24, from 10am to noon.
There will be a choice of Christmas goodies and crafts to buy, as well as a treasure hunt, raffle, tombola and more.
If you have anything to donate, or would like to help, call Marilyn on 01531 633140.
You will need to book your tickets for the WHADS production, Dick Wellington – The Panto. Phone 01531 630005. The performances will be on Friday, November 30, and Saturday, November 31, at 7.30pm, and Saturday at 2.30pm. Looking ahead, there will be lots of fun with the carol-serenading around the village in December.
