PROCEEDS from Malvern Rotary Club’s Tree of Light will be used to help people locally and across the globe.
Macmillan Cancer Support and Acorns Children’s Hospice are each receiving 45 per cent of proceeds with the remaining 10 per cent supporting other Rotary causes.
Spokesman Sandy Gibson said: “Rotary is essentially about supporting community, locally and globally. During the course of each year there are many that receive consideration by the club.
“Some involve young people, including Malvern Town Wanderers youth football club, Malvern Young Gymnasts, and the children who attend the holiday scheme run by Malvern College.”
International causes include Hope and Homes for Children, Mercy Ships and the locallyrun FOAG (Farmers Overseas Action Group). The Tree of Light in Priory Park will be lit at 6.30pm on Monday, December 3.
