PLANS for a radical remodelling of Malvern’s fire station have come under attack from the town’s civic society.
And a leading member of the society is to speak out against the proposal when Malvern Hills District Council planners meet on Wednesday.
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service wants to remove its distinctive triangular profile, adding flat-roofed extensions.
An earlier application was refused in July.
Bob Tilley, chairman of Malvern Civic Society's planning sub-committee, said: “The revised plans are little different from the original which the conservation officer said were akin to an industrial building.”
