CHILDREN at Malvern Wells Primary School, who have been studying Africa as part of their course work, had a visit from the Mighty Zulu Nation Theatre Company.
The company, which has been acclaimed as the most outstanding educational group currently touring the UK, provides a unique cultural experience that promote the multicultural facets of the school syllabus. The pupils, and their teachers, enjoyed a fun, interactive performance and workshop, during which they learned the dances of the Sangoma, Zulu Maiden and Zulu Warrior, as well as traditional Zulu songs and drumming routines. One pupil, eight-year-old Peter Jackson, said: “We really enjoyed the day, especially when the teachers had to dance! It was the best day we’ve ever had in school, and we’d like them to come again soon.”
