A KIND-hearted teenager has had her long locks lopped off in the name of charity.
Fifteen-year-old Kathryn Pratt, of Malvern, is donating her 12-inch ponytail to the Little Princess Trust, which provides wigs for children who have lost their hair, while her sponsorship money will be split between Macmillan Cancer Support and the Worcester Animal Rescue Shelter.
On Saturday she headed to Brabon and Ward hairdresser in Ledbury, who kindly agreed to perform the trim for free, and emerged later with her new shorter look.
Kathryn chose to support Macmillan Cancer Support as her grandmother has fought and beaten cancer.
She helps out at the animal shelter every week by walking dogs.
She said: “I wanted to support the Little Princess Trust as I feel that they would benefit from my hair much more than me.”
Kathryn is hoping to raise £200 from her challenge.
