Clive taught me Mathematics in the late 1970's and through his personal attention to my inabilities, greatly helped me through "O"- level Mathematics GCSE syllabus, shared my disappointment over my "mocks" result and drove me on to pass my O-level Maths (the first exam I had passed in the subject for many, many years). So a bit of an understatement to say he helped; I have much to be grateful for, in his investment in me. I also never apologised properly for unintentionally connecting a fist to his nether region, when "going in" to a rugby match "maul" - I am sure he thought I did it on purpose, but far from it! I was mortified when he challenged me on the spot, too stupid to just apologise, and we had "words" in the heat of the moment - he had the grace to not bear a grudge... goodbye, Sir, thankyou for all you did for me, you were one of "the best" and I will never forget your support and encouragement. God bless you, rest in peace.
