Roger Charles John Culcheth

CULCHETH Roger Charles John Passed away on March 16th, aged 84 years. He is survived by his Wife and three Children. The Funeral is on April 17th, at Worcester Crematorium at 1 p.m. Family flowers only. Donations to the British Heart Foundation. The Family would like to thank the Staff of the A & E Department at Worcester Royal Hospital and the Ambulance Crew who treated him.

When I first met Roger it was approaching 50 years ago, and I was a rather long-haired free spirit of the 60s culture. Roger saw through all that to have the faith to employ me in a career change I.T. position; that was to be the first step of my very successful I.T. career path for life. He was first my manager, then my mentor, and then my close friend till his passing.
I have lived in New Zealand for the past 30+ years but have always enjoyed many telephone conversations with Roger, as well as catching up for a meal and a good chat on my regular trips back home to England.
He taught me so much, not just about I.T., but business, staff management, work and life; I will always be indebted to this wonderful man who had the courage to have faith in me from the day we met.
Thank you Roger. I will miss you, as indeed I know will many others, especially your lovely family, of whom you were rightly so proud.
