A ‘HILARIOUS’ and ‘thrilling’ new adaptation of black comedy The Ladykillers by Father Ted writer Graham Linehan is coming to Malvern Theatres.

Directed by Sean Foley (The Play What I Wrote), this classic black comedy stars Michele Dotrice (of Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em), Paul Brown (Watching, Holby City), Shaun Williamson (Extras, Eastenders) and Clive Mantle (Casualty, The Vicar of Dibley).

The story tells the tale of Mrs Wilberforce, a sweet little old lady, alone in her house, who is pitted against a gang of criminal misfits who will stop at nothing.

Posing as amateur musicians, Professor Marcus and his gang rent a room in the lopsided house of the sweet but strict Mrs Wilberforce.

The villains plot to involve her unwittingly in Marcus’ brilliantly conceived heist job.

While the police are left stumped, Mrs Wilberforce becomes wise to their ruse and Marcus concludes that there is only one way to keep the old lady quiet.

With only her parrot, General Gordon, to help her, Mrs W is alone with five desperate men.

But who will be forced to face the music?

The Ladykillers runs at Malvern Theatres from Monday, November 26 to Saturday, December 1.

Tickets cost between £17 and £32.
