A SHOW celebrating the history of Worcester by the city’s new production company will take place at the Guildhall next week.
Sabrina Productions presents Tales of the Woo, a musical drama with dance, which is directed by and stars Worcester’s own Katie Love, who found fame on the BBC’s So You Think You Can Dance.
The show is the first two parts of the on-going story of Worcester, starting with the story of Sabrina, the goddess of the river Severn, after whom the production company behind the show is named, and how the city got its name.
The second part will then tell the story of the early days of Worcester’s commerce.
Tales of the Woo will showcase Worcester’s creme-dela- creme of theatrical, dancing and singing talent.
Tales is running at the Guildhall on Friday and Saturday, November 23 and 24, at 7.30pm, with matinee performances at 2.30pm and 3pm on Saturday and Sunday, November 24 and 25 respectively.
Worcestershire youngsters interested in a career in the performing arts are being invited to attend the special matinee performances for free where they will have the opportunity to meet the cast and crew to find out about life in the limelight.
Following the special matinee performances Katie, along with the rest of the cast and crew, will offer advice to Worcestershire youngsters hoping to follow in their footsteps.
To book tickets for the evening performances or for free tickets to the matinees, contact Grant Simmonds on 01886 853970.
A donation from proceeds will go to Worcester Live.
