MORE than 8,000 VW camper vans and their owners gathered in Malvern at the weekend for the largest show of its type in the world.
The Three Counties Showground was the venue for Vanfest, an annual event for enthusiasts of the iconic vehicle.
And organisers say this year's show was the best yet, bringing in morre than 20,000 visitors over the weekend.
This year, the owners and enthusiasts who flocked to see the show were treated to the rocking sounds of the 70s as Showaddywaddy and the Commitments headlined the entertainment.
Since its beginning in 1994, Vanfest has grown to become the biggest VW transporter event in the world.
"With the coolest vans around, fantastic entertainment and the sun shining, it made for the best show yet," said Steve Richards of the Volkswagen Type 2 Owners Club, which organises the event.
