HOPES of a revival for the historic Malvern Water bottling plant in Colwall have been dashed with the announcement that the site is being sold to a property company.
Coca-Cola Enterprises stunned the brand’s many fans - said to include The Queen herself - when it announced the closure of the plant, which dates back to 1892, last October.
A year on it says it has received just one, unsatisfactory bid to purchase the site as a bottling plant, and has now accepted an offer from property firm Eagle One, which is set to re-develop the site.
