An artificial wicket is to be installed at Malvern Cricket Club.
District planners last week approved plans for a new artificial strip at the edge of the club’s existing square.
According to a Malvern Hills District Council report, the new wicket will help tackle the existing shortage of cricket pitches in Malvern.
Malvern CC, which is based in Regency Road, has also recently installed new training net facilities to help reduce the impact on its main match-day wickets.
